  • Using your completed intake form, I will evaluate your medical history, pregnancy, and labor outcomes. Lactation is a continuation of pregnancy so the things that occur during your pregnancy and labor can have an impact on breastfeeding/chestfeeding.
  • Observe a feed if your baby is awake and ready!
  • Perform a latch assessment and evaluation
  • Assess for tongue and lip ties if it is indicated and make referrals to pediatric dentists, Speech Language Pathologists (SLP), and Myofunctional Therapist for diagnosis and treatment
  • Consult on next steps, helping you to achieve your feeding goals
  • Develop a simple plan of care based on our discussion and send it to you within 24 hours after your appointment.
